Zoom is looking to add a Counsel, Litigation to join our Legal team. We are looking for a generalist with experience advising technology companies in a variety of subject matter areas, including but not limited to: data privacy, securities, consumer class actions, employment and commercial litigation matters. You will report to our Associate General Counsel of Litigation and work cross-functionally with various business units to defend and advise Zoom on litigation risk.
Strategically manage and litigate complex commercial cases in jurisdictions around the world.
Handle all phases of pre-litigation and litigation, including motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, along with settlement negotiations.
Contribute to the defense and successful resolution of a variety of litigations in state and federal court.
Work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams across the organization
Engage and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
Experience in areas of complex commercial litigation, consumer class action defense, securities, employment and/or privacy litigation
Demonstrated experience providing practical, actionable advice that balances legal risk and business impact in a dynamic environment
You have a general knowledge of the law and comfort working in unfamiliar areas
Ability to work autonomously to manage matters from start to finish
Strong work ethic and sense of accountability and integrity
You have a practical, results oriented, approach to problem solving
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A team first attitude
JD and California Bar admission in good standing (or qualified for and willing to apply for/maintain Registered In-House Counsel status with the California State Bar)
You come from a highly renowned and accredited law firm and/or an in-house setting at a technology company and know the unique and long hours it takes to be a successful attorney
Government experience is a plus
